Trump’s Gaza Plan or a Middle East Union: Which Vision Wins the Future?

Examining two contrasting approaches to the future of Gaza and the Middle East—one of displacement and control, the other of unity and empowerment.

Recently, US President Donald Trump made a shocking proposal regarding the future of Gaza. He suggested the removal of all Gaza Palestinians from the region, resettling them in Egypt and Jordan, while the United States would “take over” and rebuild Gaza into a luxurious paradise.

This idea has sparked outrage, with critics condemning it as an outright attempt at ethnic cleansing and a blatant land grab to benefit Israeli settlers.

Trump’s vision prioritizes strategic control and external redevelopment rather than addressing the fundamental rights and aspirations of the Palestinian people. Instead of investing in the local population and providing them with opportunities for self-determination, his plan envisions forced displacement followed by a superficial makeover of Gaza.

The glaring questions remain:

  • Why remove the people of Gaza from their homeland instead of empowering them to rebuild it themselves?
  • Why not just STOP OCCUPATION NOW and invest $ 100 billion US Dollars, employ every Gazan for the next 10 to 20 years to build this dream?

Imagine, they will LOVE TRUMP and erect statutes of him that will last hundreds of years after he is gone.  Why not?  Why remove everyone?  Seems a bit dastardly, ya think?

A Better Alternative: Invest in Gaza’s People

A more constructive and ethical approach would be to invest in the people of Gaza, offering them jobs, economic opportunities, and the means to rebuild their own society. A $100 billion investment in infrastructure, education, and industry would create a thriving, self-sustaining community, fostering goodwill rather than resentment. If given the chance to build a prosperous future, the people of Gaza would have every reason to embrace stability and cooperation.

History teaches us that forced relocations do not end well. Andrew Jackson’s infamous Trail of Tears led to immense suffering, and the forced displacement of Palestinians would only ignite further instability in the Middle East. Paying off a dictator in Egypt or a dependent monarch in Jordan to absorb millions of displaced people is not a solution—it is a strategic maneuver to facilitate territorial expansion for Israeli settlers.

A Middle East Union: A Vision of Unity and Strength

An even greater alternative to Trump’s plan is the establishment of a Middle East Union—an inclusive regional alliance that unites Jews, Christians, and Muslims under a single framework of equal citizenship. Such a union would not only promote peace but also create a formidable economic and strategic powerhouse in the global arena.

A Middle East Union could mirror the European Union model, fostering trade, investment, and cultural exchange while ensuring freedom and security for all its citizens. Rather than dividing and displacing populations, this vision embraces unity, allowing the region’s diverse peoples to leverage their collective strengths for shared prosperity.

So Which Vision Wins the Future?

Trump’s proposal serves the interests of a select few—Israeli settlers and political elites—while leaving the displaced Palestinians stateless and disenfranchised. It does nothing to promote long-term stability or cooperation in the region.

In contrast, a Middle East Union empowers all communities, granting them equal stakes in a prosperous, peaceful future.

The Choice is Clear

A vision that prioritizes inclusion, investment, and cooperation will always outlast one that thrives on division and displacement. The future belongs to those who build together—not those who uproot and destroy.

So what’s the problem Trump?  It’s a better deal!  Do it and step into a future that will make you the hero of the world for centuries to come!
